The Nightshift Warehouse Supervisor is responsible for all Nightshift Warehouse Workers to ensure product is received, inventoried and shipped in an efficient and timely fashion.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
This list of duties and responsibilities is not all-inclusive and may be expanded to include other duties and responsibilities, as management may deem necessary from time to time.
– Check for accuracy and approves hours worked for all nightshift warehouse employees.
– Check accuracy of picked orders.
– Serve as the trainer for all nightshift new hires, ensuring safety and policy standards are understood and followed.
– Palletize orders through computer software program.
– Maintains the security of employees, product and facilities of the company by enforcing established accounting and security procedures.
– Check trucks in evening and reconciles discrepancies.
– Participates in inventory cycle counts.
– Ensures the flow racks are replenished for next day.
– Ensures inventory on racks is organized and clearly marked.

Education and/or Experience
Requires education generally equivalent to an Associate’s Degree and five years related experience. Supervisory experience in a union shop preferred.
Must be able to read and understand specifications, routing and other warehouse paperwork. Requires superior oral and written communication skills in order to interact with and provide work direction to employees.
Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as overtime, proportions and percentages. Ability to apply concepts of basic algebra and statistics.
Requires the ability to operate various tools and equipment to include a computer, hoist, hand truck and various small hand tools. Requires the ability to pass forklift operator course and drive a forklift.

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is occasionally required to use foot/feet to operate machine, climb or balance, stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl and reach above shoulders. The incumbent will regularly stand, walk, use hands to handle or touch and move from place to place and will frequently talk and listen. Specific vision requirements for this position include close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and the ability to adjust focus.
During the performance of his/her work duties, the incumbent will occasionally be required to lift up to 160 pounds.

The employee works in a warehouse environment and is occasionally exposed to work near moving mechanical parts, fumes or airborne particles and outdoor weather conditions. The noise level in the work environment is moderate to loud.
