Sign Shop (Graphic) Designer at D&D Beverage in Brainerd, MN

Works with the Sign Shop Manager, Brand Managers, Sales and Merchandisers to create and manage sign requests and theme ideas. Position is responsible for setting priorities, constructing a design/solution for demands from the Sales Team, but will also work on miscellaneous other projects.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities Include the Following:
This list of duties and responsibilities is not all inclusive and may be expanded to include other duties and responsibilities as management may deem necessary from time to time.
– Designs, creates and prints signs and banners
– Proofs, trims, sorts and distributes printed signs
– Consults with external customers, when applicable, Sales Team and Sign Shop Manager to evaluate individual project needs
– Orders Sign Shop supplies and maintains all Sign Shop equipment and service plans
– Completes other duties as assigned.

Education and/or Experience
Associate’s Degree in a related field (i.e., Graphic Design, Marketing, Communications); or two to four years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Language Skills
Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from colleagues, groups of managers, ownership and external customers. Superior written and verbal communication skills with ability to present ideas and information clearly.

Mathematical Skills

Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, proportions and percentages. Ability to apply concepts of basic algebra. Ability to convert measuring units (i.e., feet to inches, inches to centimeters, etc.).

Computer Skills
To perform this job successfully, an individual should have demonstrated above-average skills in Microsoft Office, Excel, CorelDraw X3, Flexi-Sign and Adobe Illustrator; eoStar experience is a plus.

Reasoning Ability
Demonstrated ability to successfully convert ideas discussed in meeting and general conversation to design and themes. Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts and draw valid conclusions. Ability to interpret an extensive variety of technical instructions in mathematical or diagram form and deal with several abstract and concrete variables.

Craft Beer Sales Representative at Dahlheimer Beverage in Monticello, MN

Summary
The Salesperson is responsible for the execution of the sales plan as directed by the Sales Supervisor in each assigned account. Salesperson builds and maintains customer relationships.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities
This list of duties and responsibilities is not all inclusive and may be expanded to include other duties and responsibilities as management may deem necessary from time to time.
– Keep customer data up to date on company data base.
– Follows company policies on close dated and out of code products.
– Actively participates in sales meetings and presentations.
– Accountable for calling on all licensed accounts in assigned territory.
– Takes initiative to educate self on all company products for sale.
– Executes promotional discounts from distributor to retail.
– General knowledge of market pricing.
– Merchandises the complete product line including the filling of coolers, shelves and displays.
– Advantageously leverages product’s visibility and competitive activity in each account by requesting additional placement, display, sign, static or price reduction
– Compiles lists of prospective customers for use as sales leads, based on information from inquiries, trade shows, direct mail responses, aged leads, dealer resellers, business directories, internet sites, and other sources.
– Networks in the community to establish report and additional leads; offers samples of products to current and potential customers.
– Awareness of competitive activity and proactively take advantage of sales opportunities
– Tracks stock levels.
– Ensure proper rotation is in effect for all accounts.
– Obtains new customer data for entry into computer database.
– Investigates and reports customer problems with deliveries to Sales Supervisor.
– Conducts all activities in accordance with local, state and federal liquor control regulations.
– Travels to and attends all applicable, approved events to boost company sales.
– Keeps the Sales Supervisor informed on competitive products, promotional matter, pricing and market policies.
