Route Helper

Summary: Under the supervision of the Driving Manager, the Route Helper/Assistant is responsible for supporting the Route Driver’s in the deliveries of pre-sold products to assigned accounts. Maintain product integrity with proper rotation at retail accounts.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities: This list of duties and responsibilities is not all-inclusive and may be expanded to include other duties and responsibilities, as management may deem necessary from time to time.

  • Delivering products and keys weighing up to 160 pounds.
  • Occasionally drive and deliver for vacation routes.
  • Preparation and extending delivery tickets, showing cases placed and credits given when driving vacation routes.
  • Perform routine vehicle inspection and operate vehicle in a safe and efficient manner.
  • When called upon, assist in reconciling invoice and receiving transaction differences.
  • Correctly notate any loaded product discrepancies when driving vacation routes.
  • Participate on cross-functional teams to ensure continuous, on-going improvement of processes, methods, productivity and quality, while reducing costs.
  • Develop and maintain good Company image in the trade and industry to achieve the Company’s objective for the overall growth and availability of Dahlheimer Beverage’s brands. Follow and comply with all safety and work rules and regulations.
  • Maintain departmental housekeeping standards.

Education and/or Experience: Requires education generally equivalent to a high school diploma and one to three years of related experience.

Language Skills: Ability to read and interpret invoices, route deliveries, product numbers and quantities. Ability to communicate effectively with customers and with other employees of the organization.

Mathematical Skills: Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, proportions, percentages, and volume. Ability to apply concepts of basic algebra.

Reasoning Ability: Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions in written or oral form. Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.

Other Qualifications: Requires a valid Class A driver’s license (CDL) & a driving record which meets Company standards.

Night Loader

Summary: Under the supervision of the Warehouse Supervisor, the Night Loader is responsible for stocking, prepping, organizing and noting all products scheduled for the following day’s route deliveries.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities: This list of duties and responsibilities is not all-inclusive and may be expanded to include other duties and responsibilities, as management may deem necessary from time to time.

  • Organize all routes, stage orders and ensure accuracy for next day delivery.
  • Count inventory levels.
  • Verify outgoing products against load sheets.
  • Transport products from coolers and warehouse to designated areas using a forklift or hand truck.
  • Maintain warehouse; ensure neat and orderly storage of products.
  • Preform replenishment activities.
  • Assist with “Route 98” special orders as needed.
  • Follow all clean up and housekeeping procedures.

Qualifications: To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required.
