Summary: Under the supervision of the Driving Manager, the Route Helper/Assistant is responsible for supporting the Route Driver’s in the deliveries of pre-sold products to assigned accounts. Maintain product integrity with proper rotation at retail accounts.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities This list of duties and responsibilities is not all-inclusive and may be expanded to include other duties and responsibilities, as management may deem necessary from time to time.
- Delivering products and kegs weighing up to 160 pounds.
- Occasionally drive and deliver for vacation routes.
- Preparation and extending delivery tickets, showing cases placed and credits given when driving vacation routes.
- Perform routine vehicle inspection and operate vehicle in a safe and efficient manner.
- When called upon, assist in reconciling invoice and receiving transaction differences.
- Correctly notate any loaded product discrepancies when driving vacation routes.
- Participate on cross-functional teams to ensure continuous, on-going improvement of processes, methods, productivity and quality, while reducing costs.
- Develop and maintain good Company image in the trade and industry to achieve the Company’s objective for the overall growth and availability of Dahlheimer Beverage’s brands. Follow and comply with all safety and work rules and regulations.
- Maintain departmental housekeeping standards.
- Requires a valid Class A driver’s license (CDL)
- A driving record which meets Company standards
